The Fountain of Love Choir went on a musical tour to Romania and Hungary between July 5 and 16, 2018. During the tour, it performed a selection from the first Jordanian Oratorio of its composition entitled “Jesus, the Fountain of Love”, conducted by Deacon Touma Jabara, along with Byzantine, Eastern, and original hymns composed by the choir. The tour included an evening concert at St. Joseph’s Cathedral in Romania, held under the patronage of Princess Maria and attended by the Apostolic Nuncio, where the choir sang three hymns in Romanian and presented a mosaic artwork, crafted by Iraqi brothers from Caritas Jordan, as a commemorative gift.

The choir continued its journey to Hungary, where it performed in the 15th-century Franciscan Cathedral of Szeged, presenting three hymns in Hungarian. The third concert took place at St. Stephen’s Basilica in Budapest under the patronage of First Lady Anita Herczegh, attracting a large audience, as part of an initiative to promote Christian religious tourism in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and the Tourism Promotion Authority. The tour concluded with a concert at the Church Music Festival on Lake Balaton, followed by visits to the Parliament and Esztergom Cathedral, where prayers were offered for peace, the sick, and various intentions, with the participation of Father Bassam Deir, who accompanied the choir, as well as a number of Arab students and visitors.
